:: Wolverine's First Love ::
 Logan Files Proudly Presents: Logan’s First Love: Rose
Origin #1-6
It was revealed in the Origin Series that Logan, who was born James Howlett befriended a young lady by the name of Rose. After James’s mutation manifested itself by thrusting bone claws out of the back of his hands, Rose escaped with James and cared for him while he recovered. It was Rose who named James Logan after arriving at a stone query in Northern British Columbia. Rose tried to talk about their past with James, but James told her that his past is over and he is now Logan. Logan became strong and one with the wilderness, but secretly had feelings for Rose. Later, Logan got in a fight with "Dog" a child from Logan’s and Rose’s past, but Rose was killed when she fell on Logan’s claws. Logan ran into the wilderness and was not seen for many years. This was the first and last time we see Rose, or is it? No actually Rose’s first appearance was in Wolverine #32
Wolverine #32 Logan is pierced through the heart by a Yakuza swordsman and Rose appears to Logan in a near death experience, he thinks that he is seeing Jean Grey, but in actuality its Rose, who doesn’t speak a word, but is waiting for Logan to be with her.
Wolverine #75 In Wolverine #75, Logan has just had his adamantium ripped from his skeleton and again Rose appears to him as he dies. Logan is about to enter the light, but hears that Jean is in trouble in real life and returns to life to save the girl he loves. Rose's hair only appears to be blond because of the bright light comming from behind Rose.
Wolverine #176 Logan takes on Sabretooth, Omega Red and Lady Deathstrike all at once, without the aid of his healing factor and of course loses. Logan again has a near death experience and thinks he is talking to Jean Grey when he is really talking to Rose. Rose tries to share his past with him, but Logan gets sidetracked into a fight with his dead enemies and just as he is ready to find his past, Rose says its to late and Logan returns to life. Rose does reveal for the first time that she isn't Jean Grey.
