This battle takes place in the Morlocks sewers and later in the X-Mansion and its huge property. The sewer is dark and not well lite, while the mansion and fight outside is bright and on a sunny day. Wolverine at searches through all the dead morlocks and tries to track their killer, when he comes arcoss the scent of the original X-Men, which confuses him, suddenly Wolverine is slashes across his back(FIRST STRIKE: SABRETOOTH 1).

They wrestle eachother back and forth. but clearly niether is really causing any inflicting damage, then Wolverine leaps over sabertooth, he manages to rip some of Wolverines uniform (SABRETOOTH 2).

Wolverine then tricks Sabretooth,Sabretooth charges Wolverine, Wolverine leaps over him again this time shoving him down a weak section of the sewer(WOLVERINE 1) and before sabretooth can get up turn and get out, Wolverine causes the roof to cave in around and on top of Sabretooth, Wolverine helps a morlock out of the sewer and leaves Sabretooth buried (WOLVERINE 2).

Now this battle actully ends here, but They end up fighting again next issue, so I paired the two fights.

Sabretooth chases Phylocke and Wolverine comes to her aid. Sabretooth then laps at Wolverine and slashes his back (SABRETOOTH 3).

Then the two collide into a wrestle, but Wolverine stabs his claws into Sabretooths leg (WOLVERINE 3). Sabretooth throws Wolverine out the sky window and onto the mansions roof (SABRETOOTH 4). Sabretooth makes his way to the roof, when suddenly Wolverine chages, tackles sabretooth (WOLVERINE 4) throwing them both from the roof and then Wolverine positions Sabretooth to take the impact of breaking through two diving boards and then splashing into the water (WOLVERINE 5,6)

They both get out of the water and Sabretooth slugs Wolverine in the gut (SABRETOOTH 5) They begin to wrestle back and forth Wolverine slashes Sabretooths face (WOLVERINE 7). Sabretooth bits Wolverines hand (SABREOOTH 6) Wolverine head butts Sabretooth (WOLVERINE 8).

They wreastle back and forth, rolling down a hill to the cliffs by the ocean, Wolverine positions Sabretooth to take the blunt forces of chrashing through the trees and crashing into the ground (WOLVERINE 9,10) Both parties are getting tired, then Wolverine reveals that he was just keeping Sabretooth busy while Phylocke read his mind. Sabretooth can see the X-Men coming to aid Wolverine, so he leaps from the cliff to the ocean below, but Wolverine not satisfied with this leaps too, tackles Sabretooth in mid fall (WOLVERINE 11) and slashes Sabretooth through the neck with his claws (WOLVERINE 12) The two plung into the water. Rogue flies down and pulls Wolverine from the water and tells him that he does not know when to quit. Phylocke tells them that she does not sense the presence of Sabretooth anymore

WOLVERINE WINS, GOING BY THE POINT SYSTEM WOLVERINE DOMINATED WITH 12 TO 6. Plus Wolverine left Sabretooth a bloody corpse on the ocean floor, Phylocke said herself that she could not sense Sabretooth, my guess is that last blow to the neck put him out comission, so either way he won. Wolverine was taken by surprise in the beginning, so Sabretooth actually got first strike and probly drew first blood, but it didn't show blood so I cant award that. The best part was when Wolverine admitted that he was just keeping sabretooth busy, which is why the fight stayed so even til the end. Wolverine dominated the fight by ending with 12 hits in, while Sabretooth had only 6. Clearly one of the better fights they have had.
