Muir Island, Scotland, Jean Grey and Cyclops fly in on a jet to search for Professor X. Suddenly, the Phalanx beings attack the jet their in and they crash land on the island. They notice that most of Muir Island has been assimilated. After being attacked, Wolverine arrives to Muir Island in Harry Tabeshaw's airplane. Wolverine thanks Tabeshaw for the ride and parachutes out of the plane, remembering the last time he did that was in Normandy. Wolverine is attacked by a Phalanx, but with the help of Jean Grey and Cyclops defeats the being.

In the Main Lab, The Phalanx is trying to get to all the mutant files Professor X has stored in computers at Muir Island.

Muir Island, Wolverine apologizes for not being at Cyclops and Jean Grey' wedding, Jean Grey tells Wolverine that they know that his heart was with them. Suddenly a Phalanx being shows up , but is shot back by Cable, who just body slide in. Jean Grey and Cyclops want to know what’s going on. Wolverine and Cable tell them that Professor X had mind blasted a message that techno-organic beings were killing everybody and started with the X-Men and now they are trying to get to the secret files on all the mutants. They form a plan to keep them from getting the files.

In front of the Main Lab, Cable and Jean Grey form a mind-bond and fight the Phalanx in the Astro-plane, while Cyclops and Wolverine sneak in and find where he X-Men are hiding. The Phalanx were able to knock Cable out of the Astral-plane since he was a weaker Psi-talent. The Phalanx see that Wolverine and Cyclops are accessing the computer and try to stop them, Wolverine fights the Phalanx, to buy time for Cyclops to get the information they need. Cyclops gains access to the main computer and find that the X-Men are on Mt. Everest in Tibet. Jean tells Cable that they must re-link into the Astro-plane, but Cable rather use his physical weapons and uses his plasma canon to hold off the Phalanx beings, while Cyclops and Wolverine make their escape. Cyclops tells the group that when he accessed the computer he triggered a self-destruct timer. They all meet up and don't know how they are going to get off the island, then Harry Tabeshaw arrives in his plane, Cable tells them to take off and he will hold off the remaining Phalanx, Jean Grey and Cyclops get in the plane and see that the Phalanx is hurting Cable because he is half machine. Wolverine tells them to take off. then cuts the Phalanx being in half and saves cable. They whole Island explodes as they timer runs out, Jean Grey uses her Psi-talent to pull Wolverine and Cable up into the plane in a protective Psi-field.

In Tabeshaw's plane, Jean Grey and Cyclops look over Cable to make sure that he isn't hurt, Cable and Wolverine don't know that Jean Grey and Cyclops are Cable's parents. Wolverine feeling left out, goes to the cockpit and tells Tabeshaw that at the next fuel stop they will drop him off, so they can save the world from the remaining Phalanx and Wolverine will get Professor X will buy him a new plane.
