Memory of Peace,

In Japan, many years ago, Logan went to his friend Bando Saburo for a place of piece and rest. Bando offered his home for the sanctuary Logan was looking for. Bando offered Logan a cup of tea. Logan recognized that Bando's tea bowl was very valuable. Bando tells Logan that it was made by a master for his ancestors. Bando also tells Logan that his son in law, Masaki Weston is hear seeking peace as well. Weston's father was an American, a poor man. Weston thinks he is cursed to be poor himself.

In the present, Patch returns to Bando's home to visit and finds dead men in the garden. Patch runs inside the house only to find Bando and his wife slain. Patch tracks the sent of the killers and returns outside, Logan finds a gang of 7 guys. They attack, Logan in full fury kills them all.

Six days later in Madripoor, Patch plays a game of poker with an art dealer named Gene Claymore in his high rise building. We find out that Claymore acquired Bando's prize possession, the tea bowl. Patch raises the stakes in the poker game by tripling the bet. They play their hands and Patch wins the poker game, making Claymore bankrupt. Patch tells claymore that he doesn’t want his money, he only wants two things, the tea bowl and the name of the man who sold it to him. Claymore tells Patch that Weston sold him the bowl. Claymore gets mad and attacks Patch, Patch trips Claymore and he flies out the window of his high rise building. Claymore’s men are about to shoot Patch, when Patch reminds them that as soon as Claymore hit the ground, they became unemployed. Patch leaves with the bowl.

Patch arrives at Weston’s house, One of Claymore's men called Weston and told him Patch was coming. When Patch walk in Weston realizes that Patch is Bando's old friend, Logan. Weston performing Seppuku, a traditional Japanese ritual suicide. Patch tells Weston he won't go through with it because he doesn’t have the guts. Patch tells Weston the reason he came back to Bando’s after all the years is because Bando was going to die of cancer in a month and he was leaving everything to Weston. Patch tells Weston that you didn't have to kill your family, it would have been yours if you had waited. Weston's servant tries to kill Patch with a sword, but Patch dodges the sword and kills him. Then Weston attacks, Patch tears his guts out, killing him.

Later in Japan, Patch visits Bando and his wife at their grave to pay his respects. Patch gives Bando his tea bowl back by leaving it on his grave. Patch thanks Bando for giving him a memory of peace and beauty as he leaves to walk the road to hell.
