| Marvel 3rd Claw Variant Cover Swift and Terrible: Part 1, Wolverine awakens to the events that just passed. Disemboweled by his ‘son’, Wolverine notes that he’s just like him. As his body begins to heal, Wolverine hears S.H.I.E.L.D soldiers surrounding him. Needing to retreat, Wolverine opts to evade his would be captors instead of taking them on. Wolverine escapes the S.H.I.E.L.D confines and finds clothing to blend in with the crowd. Wolverine realizes that his ‘offspring’ is setting him up and proceeds with his mission of obtaining the C-Synthesizer. Scene shifts to Wolverine’s ‘offspring’ entering his shared apartment. On the couch lies a drunken woman, heartbroken that she witnessed her ‘roommate’ with another man in a bar although he told her that he would be in Paris. Wolverine’s ‘son’ tells her that not only did he kiss the man, he also took him to a hotel and ‘had his way with him’ (i.e. murdered him). The woman, hysterical wonders why she was used, she tells him that she trusted him and felt a connection. Wolverine’s ‘son’ tells her that he set up their entire meeting, and set up the moment where she caught him with another man. He tells her he knew she would come back and drink herself to oblivion, he tells her the drink she is drinking is drugged with sleeping pills. The woman passes out, and Wolverine’s ‘son’ says in a boastful manner, that he is the inheritor of the earth. On a farm, a couple search for their son ‘Milo’, an immense man with down syndrome. They check the barn to see Milo covered in blood. Milo accidentally kills a horse when the horse gets startled and kicks Milo. Milo picks up the horse’s head to show his parents that he tried to be a good boy and put the horse’s head back on. His mother tells him to go the bathroom and she’ll be there to clean him up. His father wonders why they did not ever register the boy (SHRA?). Upset the mother says all they would have done is locked him up. The father asks her if it would be so bad. In disgust, the mother walks to attend her son. In the tub, Milo wishes he was a better child so his father would love him. All his mother could do is cry. Lying in bed, Milo hears a voice call out to him. He looks at his teddy bear and continues to hear the voices. The voice tells him it’s his friend and that he wants to help Milo be better. When Milo asks for his new friend’s name, the voice tells him that his name is Silas Burr, more commonly known as Cyber! Wolverine Battles:N/A |
