Stockon, California, 12:05 AM PST, Wolverine follows the tracks of the pick-up carrying Nitro 3000 miles, but by the time he finds the driver, Nitro is gone, but Wolverine gets the location of where the river dropped off Nitro by threatening the driver. The driver says that Nitro is hiding out in a cabin in Big Sur. Wolverine gets back on his Harley and takes off down the road, but then smells Iron Man and hides. Iron Man flies down the street looking for Logan. Logan jumps from a building and tackles iron man to the floor and tells him that his repulsor boots exhaust gave him away, but Iron Man tells Logan that he was not trying to hide, he tells Logan to stay away from Nitro. Logan tells Iron Man that Nitro still has not been caught and its up to him to get him and tells Iron Man that Nitro is hiding out in Big Sur. Iron Man calls a SHIELD task force and tells them that they are going to plan a strike on Nitro. Wolverine tells Iron Man that when they catch him, what are they going to do, jail him while the courts go through 10 years of appeals before they put him to sleep. Iron Man says they cant just kill him, that’s not what they do, Wolverine tells iron Man that he is wrong, in fact Iron Man recruited Wolverine to the Avengers because he knew Wolverine would kill if necessary.

Daytona Beach, Florida, a couple watches as a surfer catches a wave and rides it into the shore, they wonder if he is who they are looking for? Three other surfers walk to him and tell him that he stole there wave and next time they will hurt him, the surfer kicks all three in the face without hesitation. The couple see this and think they have found the guy they have been looking for.

SHIELD air transport, Wolverine prepares for his encounter with Nitro and rides along with SHIELD’s new team, The Superhuman Restraint Unit. SHIELD has outfitted them with every type of gadget to capture unregistered super humans. Wolverine tries to tell the commander that it is stupid to fly the transport in. The get to the cabin and the SHIELD unit jump out for a surprise attack, problem is that Nitro heard the transport coming and uses his mutant power to explode, which engulfs the cabin, the surrounding forest and the SHIELD transport in flames, killing everyone, except Wolverine, who’s flesh was almost completely burned from his adamantium skeleton. Nitro sees Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton, takes a few pills and walks back to his car. Nitro calls someone who is helping him and tells them that he has just killed Wolverine, the man on the phone is ticked because it brings more attention on Nitro, he ask nitro if he thinks that no one would notice that he killed the Avenger and X-Men, Wolverine.

Stockon, California, the couple question the driver that dropped off Nitro and he tells them that he has told them everything even that the short hairy guy is going there too. The couple tell him that they appreciate him being cooperative, but Janus doesn’t like you. The Surfer, Janus walk up to the driver, the driver ask what he doesn’t like about him, the couple tell him that Janus doesn’t like humans, then Janus kills the driver.

Big Sur, Nitro finally makes back to his car and is about to get in, when he sees something in the reflection of his car window, but before he could turn to look, Wolverine punches Nitro across the face, knocking him to the floor. Wolverine unleashes his claws. Nitro turns to see Wolverine standing over him, his flesh still regenerating over exposed muscle tissue.
