107 miles north east of El Paso, Logan pulls his bike into the last gas station for a hundred miles, not seeing any gas attendant he steps inside to look for one. Logan realizes that something is not right when he reaches the door to the garage and hears two men fighting, Merrick and Lake. Logan waits by the door and when Merrick approaches with a gun, Logan stabs him through the wall and kicks the door open. Logan finds Merrick laying on the floor holding his side in a pool of his own blood, his partner Lake tries to reach for Merrick’s gun, so Logan threatens him to do it, but Lake tells Logan that it was Merrick that killed the gas attendant. Logan asks why Merrick would want to kill the gas attendant.

Portland, Oregon, Cassie Lathrop stops in a shop called “My Cold Dead Hand” and ask the store owner Blaine if he has ever seen Logan before. Blaine tells her no, but Cassie knows better and explains that she doesn’t want to arrest him, she just wants to talk to him because he saved her life.

Outside the station, Lake takes Logan to a Semi truck parked behind the station. Inside the trailer Logan finds a bunch of dead Mexican immigrants, who died from heat, lack of air and dehydration. Logan grabs Lake and demands to know who was in charge of the operation, Lake tells Logan that a guy named Ritter arranges things. Logan throws Lake in the back of the trailer and locks it.

Inside My Cold Dead Hand gun shop, Blaine tells Cassie that a lot of women fall for Logan, but Cassie tries to tell him she isn’t in love with him. Cassie tries to get Blaine to tell her where Logan is, but Blaine tells her that he will not say. Cassie leaves the shop and decides to give up.

El Paso, Logan calls the police about the trailer, then enters a bar and ask for the bar tender to get Nestor, after a explaining who he was, Nestor comes out and greets Logan. Nestor tells Logan that his money is no good there and ask what he could do for Logan. Logan asks for information on Ritter who works as a coyote.

Portland, Oregon, Cassie gets ready for a night in, by ordering pizza, but sees on TV that there was a man with claws in El Paso, who locked a man inside a trailer with a bunch of dead Mexicans. Cassie heads to El Paso to find Logan.
