Tokyo, Japan, On the anniversary of Mariko Yashida's death, Logan burns incenses in Mariko's memory at an ancient temple, where Logan and Mariko were supposed to have their wedding. Yukio shows up and warns Logan that the ninjas of the Hand, were waiting to attack him as soon as he leaves for what he did to their leader, Matsuo. Logan does to fight the ninjas and leaves the Honor sword with Yukio. 9 ninjas attack Logan, Logan knocks four out right away, but suffers a cut across his head. Yukio grabs on of the ninjas and tells them that they got the wrong guy. Yukio tells them that they got the wrong guy, because the real Logan has adamantium and a healing factor, but this Logan doesn’t have adamantium and is still bleeding from his forehead. The ninjas realize that Yukio was right, they fear that they have been tricked to leave their base, so the real Logan could kill Matsuo.

Yukio's house, Yukio shows Logan her house, Logan offers to give her money so that she could have a better place, but Yukio tells him that she doesn't need anything more since she didn't have a family. Yukio gets some drinks and they spend the rest of the night in each others arms.

In a remote area of Canada, Bloodscream is traveling in the pickup truck, when he senses something out of place and time at a old Indian burial. Bloodscream finds Elsie Dee and is amazed that she is not decayed, but discovers that she is an android. Bloodscream takes her back to the truck and jump starts her battery. Elsie Dee wakes up and asks what year was it, then realizes that her and Albert have been in system sleep for three hundred years. Elsie Dee finds Albert and jumpstarts his battery. Albert senses that Bloodscream isn't human. Bloodscream tells them that he is a mutant, just like their friend Logan.

On Muir Island, Moira warns Zoe that Logan's immune system is deteriorating and he was seemingly going through a type of physical regression. Zoe tells them that she has to leave to see if their is anything she can do for Logan, Shadowcat ask why she let Logan go to Japan when all the Hand ninjas want him dead. Zoe tells her that Logan wasn't going their to pick a fight, he went to see his step-daughter, Amiko.

In Tokyo, Amiko is made fun of by two of her classmates, Nobu and Teru, and gets into a small fight with them. Logan arrives and breaks up the fight, Logan tries to help Amiko up, but Amiko pushes Logan out of they way, not recognizing him.

Later, Logan followed Amiko and sees that she is treated very poorly by her care takers. Logan approaches and tells one of the caretakers that he if from Landau, Luckman and Lake. The care taker remembers the name, because they would receive a check from Landau, Luckman and Lake every month for taking car of Amiko. Logan presents himself as Zoe Culloden, and tells the care takers that is there to check up on the welfare of Amiko. Logan finds out that the care takers treat Amiko as a slave and have been pocketing all the money for themselves. Logan decides that he is going to get Amiko out of that environment.

That night, Wolverine sneaks into Amiko's room and tells her that he is there to rescue her. Wolverine threatens the care takers and tells them to move to Peru. Wolverine takes Amiko to Yukio's house, there Wolverine ask Yukio to take care of Amiko. Wolverine tells Yukio that he will set it up so Landau, Luckman and Lake will send Yukio checks for Amiko. Suddenly Silver Samurai shows up, Logan gives Silver Samurai the Honor sword of clan Yashida, in return Wolverine tells Silver Samurai that he is honor bound to see to the welfare of the child. Yukio promises Wolverine that she will take care of Amiko as her own child.
