Australian outback, Gateway's Knoll, The Sentinel threaten Wolverine to stay back or its going to snap Jubilee's neck, then sets Gateway's time gate to go back to the Sentinel Ant Hill. Wolverine has no choice, he has to stop the Sentinel from changing history. The Sentinel jumps in the time gate with Jubilee and Wolverine follows.

The Past, Outside the Sentinel Ant Hill, They all appear out of the time gate. The Sentinel realizes that Wolverine followed and is about to snap Jubilee's neck, then Wolverine cuts off his hand that is holding Jubilee. Wolverine still has to cut the fingers off the hand because they are still griped onto Jubilee, the Sentinel blast Wolverine directly in the back, then fall to the floor. Jubilee frees herself and tries to Wolverine, but his body just lays lifeless. Jubilee powers up, her hands glowing with red hot power, and with all her anger she releases a powerful plasma-burst of energy, which tears half the Sentinels face off and loosens it head. Jubilee can't believe the power that came out of her and filling completely drained she faints onto Wolverine. The Sentinel repairs its hand, then kick Wolverine and Jubilee down a hill and enters the Sentinel Ant Hill.

The Past, Inside the Sentinel Ant Hill, The Sentinel prepares to reawaken the deactivated Sentinels, then builds a giant ray gun to shot the sun with, that will cause a solar flare so big on the sun that it will sterilize the entire planet of humans. The Sentinel refers to himself as 3.14159 the irrational ratio.

The Past, Outside the Sentinel Ant Hill, Wolverine regains consciousness, but is still hurt from the Sentinel blast. Jubilee can't believe he's alive. Wolverine stumbles up the hill, as Jubilee helps him. Jubilee keeps thinking that she can kill Reno and Molokai before they kill her parents. Wolverine tells her not to think that because she isn't a killer and he knows that their is a lot of baggage that comes from hilling a person. A wild pack of dogs tries to attack Wolverine and Jubilee, but Wolverine stands to his feet and growls at them starring right in their eyes, the wild dogs run away in fear. They get to the top and see that the sentinel has made a giant ray gun. Suddenly, the Sentinel charges at them, Wolverine leaps onto the Sentinel, while Jubilee plasma-blast it. Wolverine cuts the Sentinel's head off, they both fall into the Ant Hill.

The Past, Inside the Sentinel Ant Hill, as they fall the Sentinel calls out numbers, 23, 66, 96, 99, they hit the ground. Jubilee yells to Wolverine that those weren’t just numbers they were names to the four Sentinels that are coming.
