Australian outback, the Reavers base, Wolverine and Jubilee are walking through the damaged facility. Wolverine finds where the Reavers made their last stand against Sentinels from the future. All that was left of the Reavers was their organic tissue on the wall and their metallic parts on the floor after the took a direct blast from a Sentinel's laser. They find a room where Jubilee first help nurse Wolverine back to life after being crucified by the Reavers. They reach Pierce's laboratory, where Albert , Elsie-Dee and Lady Deathstrike were created.

In Peirce's lab, electra-lite bath tanks were broken and a deactivated Sentinel lay in a pool of the electra-lite bath solution, power cables sparked as the touched the solution. Jubilee convinced Wolverine to turn off the power so that an animal wouldn't get hurt if they wondered into the lab. They continue their search into a hall, Wolverine senses a dog hiding in the shadows up ahead, suddenly a damaged cyborg dog runs at Wolverine and Jubilee, Wolverine cuts it's head clean off, killing it. Wolverine explains to Jubilee that the cyborg dog has some living parts and it was suffering. Wolverine and jubilee decide to go see Gateway.

In Peirce's lab, the Sentinel from the future suddenly powers up., then uses material from the lab to repair itself. Its sensors activate and detects Wolverine and Jubilee, and begins to hunt them down.

Outside the base, at Gateway's knoll, Wolverine and Jubilee find Gateway's time gates, but can't find Gateway. Jubilee thinks she sees him in the time gate and sticks her hand into it, which pulls her into it, but Wolverine grabs her legs, her top half of her body is in the time gate.

In the time gate, Jubilee sees her parents before they died in their Beverly Hills Home. Jubilee realizes that its the exact day that they are going to die. The door bell rings and Jubilee's mom gets the door, Jubilee yells for her to stop. Two gangsters, Reno and Molokai forced Jubilee's parents to go with them to Mulholland. Reno and Molokai see Jubilee and shot at her.

Present, Gateway's Knoll, Wolverine finally gets the leverage and pulls Jubilee out of the time gate, the bullets barley miss jubilee. Jubilee confused and angry plasma blast Wolverine in the eyes and is about to run back into the time gate, then she realizes that she hurt Wolverine. Jubilee turns around and hugs Wolverine and cries in his arms, and explains that she now knows that her parents death wasn't an accident, two hit men mistaked her parents with the Lee's that lived next door to them. Wolverine tells Jubilee that there is no changing the past.

Outside the base, the Sentinel wanders outside and scans the night sky. The sentinel is amazed at all the lights in the sky were stars, in other solar systems. The sentinel finds Wolverine and Jubilee. They jump up and wonder why the sentinel hasn't tried to kill them. The Sentinel explains that it has starred into the stars and has pondered upon the infinite, and has overridden its programming to kill mutates. Wolverine and Jubilee ask if the Sentinel is going to fight evil, but the Sentinel replies that its true purpose was to go back in time and stop the deactivation of the Sentinels, to make a world of Sentinels, a world of order and beauty. Wolverine knows he can't let that happen and charges at the Sentinel, slashing open its foot, the Sentinel falls. Wolverine runs up his chest to his head, but the Sentinel blast Wolverine back. Jubilee tries to plasma blast the Sentinel's eyes, but the Sentinel from the future has been improved with shielded eyes. Wolverine charges at the Sentinel again, but the Sentinel picks up Jubilee and threatens to snap her neck if Wolverine doesn’t stop attacking it.
