In the Savage Land, Wolverine, Rogue, and Jubilee land the blackbird and set up camp in the dark. Professor X has put them on a mission to investigate some rumors that Magneto was alive. Wolverine lights a match for his cigar, suddenly a Tyrannosaurs Rex attacks. Rogue punches it in the mouth, but gets knocked back against a tree. Jubilee plasma blast its mouth, but has no effect. Wolverine stabs his claws into its leg and it runs off into the forest. They set up a force-field to protect their camp site from other encounters. Rogue takes to the sky and scans for magnetic anomalies, while Wolverine takes to the land. Jubilee is told to stay behind and guard the camp while working on her English homework.

Down on the ground, Wolverine discovers that someone has united the different people of the Savage Land, the fall people, barbarians and the mutates are working together. Wolverine recognizes some of the mutates, Barbarus, Amphibious and Equilbrious.

In the skies, Rogue investigates a magnetic anomaly that is jamming radio communications. Rogue finds a mysterious ancient citadel that Ka-zar had told her about. Rogue enters the citadel and discovers the source of the magnetic disturbance. Brainchild shows up, questions Rogue if "He" is here? Rogue hasn't a clue on who he is talking about, Gaza sneaks up behind Rogue and hits on the back of the head with a metal rod, knocking Rogue out.

At the camp, Jubliee is continues to study, while listening to music on her headphones. Jubilee takes a break to get a closer look at the dinosaurs trying to get past the force-field. Jubilee makes a comment, that the only why to get her is if the dinosaur could fly, suddenly a Pterosaur flies in and kidnaps Jubilee. The native commanding the pterosaur tells Jubilee not to scare the dinosaur or it will drop her.

Wolverine follows the war party to a temple into a throne room, The fall people are going to sacrifice two of their people, but Wolverine jumps out to stop them from sacrificing the innocent natives and attacks the fall people.

In the sky, The pterosaur throws Jubilee into a cave and flies off. Jubilee figures that she can just crawl out of the cave, but when she gets to the opening, she finds that she is on the edge of a cliff.

In the Citadel, Rogue regains consciousness and realizes that she is chained to a table. Rogue tells Brainchild that she could easily break the chains. Brainchild warns her that if she does the Genetic Transformer will devolve her. Rogue tries to guess who is in charge, but Brainchild covers his ears and tells Rogue that his name is forbidden to say.

Acient temple, throne room, Wolverine is fighting Barbarus, Amphibious, Equilbrious and the fall people all at once. Wolverine throws them all to the ground and tells them to bring their boss, Sauron appears with new mechanical claws and claims that he has united the people of the Savage Land and he is Lord here. Wolverine tells Sauron he doesn’t think so and charges Sauron with claws extended.
