X-Mansion Danger room, Wolverine is being tested at the maximum threat for solo combat in the Danger room and is getting bored. Professor X, Jubilee, Cyclops, Storm, and Forge monitor Wolverine's vitals and performance in the control room. Wolverine yells at them to give him a challenge, Professor X a little ticked tells Wolverine to put on an experimental virtual reality suit. Wolverine dosesn't like the suit it reminds him of being Weapon X. Professor programs the VR suit to simulate Ogun and Lord Shingen to battle. Wolverine makes fun of the program until he gets hurt by the simulation, then he quickly destroys the two simulated enemies. Professor X and Forge agree to push Wolverine to the limit they add simulated versions of Lady Deathstrike and Sabretooth along with Ogun and Shingen to fight Wolverine. Forge monitors Wolverines brain-wave pattern and discovers Wolverine's emotional response pattern has regressed to that of a killer ape, but Wolverine retains highly sophisticated combat skills and is capable of complex strategic decisions within a compressed time frame. After killing all the simulated charactors, Wolverine Howls. Storma nd Cyclops leave the control room saying it is wrong to push Logan to the edge of his humanity. Jubilee asks Professor X why Wolverine is now different. Professor X tells her that this might be the true Wolverine.

Later after a shower, Wolverine heads to the Auger Inn to relax, Jubilee ask to go, but Logan refuses. At the Auger Inn, Logan plays pool, when a mysterious female walks in, she ask Logan to buy her a drink, they dance, then she invites him back to her motel room.

At the X-Mansion, Jubilee can't sleep, she can't stop thinking about Logan, she decides to go to the Auger Inn to find him. She finds Logan's motorcycle at a Cloud 9 motel next to the Auger Inn. Jubilee decides to investigate. Jubilee hears Logan's voice in a room, suddenly the door opens, Jubilee hides behind a Coke machine. Jean Grey walks out of the motel room gets a coke and goes back in the room with Logan. Jubilee gets mad and knocks over Logan's motorcycle and skates back to the X-mansion. In the motel room, Jean turns into Mystique, who is shapeshifting. Logan asks Mastique whats wrong because he could smell the fear on her. Mystique tells Logan that she can't say because that person will hear.

In the morlock tunnels, Albert, Elsie Dee, and Hunter in Darkness were finally ready to leave, Elsie Dee had a new body. Masque was happy they finally left. Albert had totally redesigned the stealth bomber to be twice as stealthy and flew it out of the East River. Albert tells Elsie Dee that they are finally free.

At the X-mansion, Jubilee sees Jean Grey leaving the mansion to jog. Jubilee runs and hugs Jean because she knew it wasn't her at the motel, but she wonders who was there.

Clould 9 motel room, Wolverine figures out who Mystique is talking about. Mystique tells Logan not to say her name. Logan tells Mystique how could Spiral hear them. Suddenly, Spiral appears ready for battle.
