In Madripoor, at the Princes Palace, Broker is observing Doctor Page, who is working on Pinocchio. Broker tells Dr. Page that she has done a good job. Dr. Page says she couldn't have made Pinocchio with out the Lazarus Project, which the Broker came up with. Broker's men, Hikaru and Genji, run into the room telling Broker that everyone on Rumika is dead and the MasterFrom was left behind in the ashes. Broker tells them to leave everything in Rumika the way it was, no can know that they were their. Broker tells them to look for information on Patch, for he suspected that Patch is Wolverine.

In the ocean traveling to Madripoor to the Prince’s Palace, Wolverine, Target, and Karma they decide that they will not kill unless necessary. Target thinks about his past, how he and his cousin, Ricky enlisted in the army, they tried to make them into killing soldiers, later, Ricky volunteered for the next phase of the project. Target hasn't seen Ricky since.

After docking in Madripoor, they make their way into the palace. General Coy finds out the Prince went away, and left full responsibility of the project on him, and now Wolverine is coming for him. Dr. Page activates Pinocchio. Wolverine to fight Pinocchio, but Pinocchio has new retractable claws. They battle it out. Wolverine cuts holes in Pinocchio but they heal up. Wolverine figures he has to cut faster then he can heal. Coy yells at Karma for helping his enemies. Karma tells Coy she will no longer stand by and watch him hurt innocent people. Target adds that everyone is part of someone's family.

Just then, Pinocchio falls to the ground, surprising Logan. Pinocchio then does a memory scan of Target. Dr. Page tries to cancel it, and threatens to override. Pinocchio tells target something that only Ricky would say. Target surprised stops Wolverine from killing Pinocchio. Dr. Page threatens Pinocchio that if he doesn’t kill he is going to wipe out his organic material. Wolverine runs over and slaps Dr. Page out. Target tries to talk to Pinocchio and almost gets killed. Karma tries psionically to talk to Pinocchio, trying to bring back his old memories. Pinocchio finally recognizes Target as being Ted, his cousin. Target tells Wolverine and Karma that Pinocchio is really his cousin Ricky. General Coy helps Dr. Page up and tells her to override Pinocchio. Wolverine runs over again and knocks her out. Wolverine is going to kill Coy, but Karma stops him. Karma tells Coy that her debt to him is paid and he'd better not harm another person, or she will kill him herself.

Wolverine hunts down Broker. Wolverine finds that Broker and his two assistance all committed suicide. Wolverine leaves, Broker gets up he was just faking. Broker escapes in a helicopter.

Coy is notified by a representative of the Prince that he is responsible for all the Prince's losses in the project and for all damage that the fight might have caused his palace. Target and Ricky are trying to figure out what to do from here. Lazarus Project has been stopped, and the master form still sits on Rumika.
