Wolverine is washed onto the shores of Rumika. Fisher man from the village ask Wolverine who he is and why he is there, Wolverine doesn’t remember who he is or why he’s there. A shark attacks and Wolverine jumps in and saves the villager, Jian. The other men tell Wolverine that he can stay with them in the village of Rumika, for saving their friend, Jian. At the village, the elders worry that Wolverine could be after the MasterForm they are protecting, but decide to let him stay in a hut on the hillside just on the edge of the village. Wolverine becomes friends with the villagers, he loves how peaceful and caring they are. Wolverine starts to think that maybe he doesn’t want to have his old life back. At night, Wolverine has some images from his past come back, keeping him up. Wolverine hunts down a boar and leaves it for the villages to say, thank you.

Elsewhere on Rumika, Target questions Captain Merrick if it was right to leave the MasterForm with the villagers of Rumika. Captain Merrick tells Target that he knows what the MasterForm can do and its probably safe in the village.

In Madripoor, Karma overhears that their is going to be an attack in Rumika, over the MasterForm. Karma decides she is going to go to Rumika and help stop people from dying.

At the village of Rumika, the hunters ask if Wolverine wants to go hunting, Wolverine decides not to, but just then he smells soldiers in the forest. Wolverine yells to the hunters to come back. The soldiers open fire now that their cover is blown. The hunters get shot to death by machine gun fire. Wolverine runs up the hill, the soldiers open fire, Wolverine takes the bullets till he falls to the ground. Karma arrives on the shore in her boat and heads toward the sound of the gun fire. The soldiers head into the village. The elders tell Jian to protect the MasterForm. The soldiers slaughter all the women and children, there orders are not to leave any survivors. Karma makes a child fall asleep, so that they'd think he was dead. Jian is shot and killed. Wolverine, shot in the head is having many flashbacks. The soldiers hear some kids crying. Karma tries to stop the shooter by controlling the mind, but another soldiers kills the children. Wolverine wakes up, and attacks and kills the remaining soldiers with his bear hands. Captain Merrick and Target arrives, but all the villages are dead. Captain Merrick complements the villagers be able to protect the MasterForm. Wolverine recognizes Merrick's scent, and tells Target that the soldiers have Merrick's sent on them, Merrick sent them to kill the villages. Target has his doubt, but Karma tells Target that Wolverine has the senses of an animal, Target sees Merrick get nervous, so Target kills Merrick. Wolverine sheds a tear, thinking about Rumika , the people he called family and the place he could call home, gone. Wolverine pulls his claws and remembers her is Wolverine.
