In the Australia outback, Psylocke can read that Wolverine's mind is not his own. The X-Men, Havok, Colossus, Dazzler and Psylocke begen to worry.

In Tierra Verde, the helicopter that Wolverine was in crash landed from the damage that Tiger Shark did. La Bandera and the prisoners went into the hills, while Wolverine, Roughhouse and Sister Salvation go through the jungle. Wolverine is going mad from being shot with darts full of the experimental cocaine. Geist and soldiers find the crashed helicopter on the ground and Felix Caridad in his helicopter looks for them. Roughhouse restrains Wolverine, and Sister Salvation calms Wolverine with her healing touch. Wolverine tells them that they have to keep on going to escape from Caridad and Geist. La Bandera meets up with some natives in the hills.

Logan goes mad again from the cocaine and dreams back in WWII, Wolverine kills 5 Nazis and blows up a tank. He is injured severely from the blast. Sister Salvation appears and tells Wolverine that he is his healing factor and he has it in him to save himself. Logan almost gives up until Sister Salvation gives him a kiss to get him through. Wolverine continues to dream, Wolverine locates Geist and Adolf Hitler together. Geist is about to give Adolf Hitler a shave. Wolverine bursts in kills Hitler and attempts to kill Geist. But Geist reveals that he is Spore, Geist's body begins to be replaced with a spore-like material and turns into a monster. Spore reveals that in ancient time, he was created by the Deviants. He was created as a living disease. Spore started to consume his creators. Spore was stopped after the Celestials saw his evilness, and burned him, causing him to return to the slime that he had once been. The slime seeped into the mountain-side and grow into the cocaine. Spore attempted to find a host body which could allow it to flourish and live, but all the bodies were unable to support him, but Wolverine with his healing factor was the perfect host. Wolverine starts to fight the spore and remembers that Sister Salvation said he was his healing factor and many Wolverines then shows up to kill the Spore.

Wolverine wakes up in the jungle of Tierra Verde. Wolverine realizes that he is better, But Geist and Caridad show up with soldiers and tells Wolverine that Sister Salvation left behind clues so they could find them. Wolverine asks Salvation why? Salvation tells Wolverine that she could not leave without her son.
