In the Past, Kanazawa, Japan, Logan meditates with his master Ogun, suddenly ninjas surround him and Lord Ugama Hana, a Japanese crime lord approaches Ogun. Ogun and Hana argue about some past wrong that Ogun did. Logan prepares for battle, but Ogun tells Logan that it is his fight and to stay back. Ogun attacks the ninjas and kills them all with out getting any major wounds. Lord Hana steps forward and Ogun and him battle it out, neither gets an advantage in the battle. Ogun purposely drops his sword and taunts for Lord Hana to kill him, Lord Hana jumped at the opportunity to kill him and thrust his sword through Ogun. Logan waits for his master to fall to the ground, but Ogun stands there and begins to laugh. Lord Hana back away in fear, Ogun pulls Hana’s sword out of his gut and slices Lord Hana’s head off. Ogun tells Logan that death is just a state of mind.

Present in Madripoor, Patch and Viper go to the Foxy Den and find Ogun who has possessed one of Viper’s men. Ogun sees Patch and runs off, Patch and viper chase him into the market place. Suddenly Ogun possesses a woman, who throws a knife into Patch back. Patch grabs the woman, but Ogun switches bodies and hits Patch with a staff. Viper knocks the guy out, but Ogun begins switching bodies through the crowd. Viper begins to shot into the crowd, so Patch punches her and tells her that she shouldn’t kill innocent people. Patch and Viper chase Ogun down the street and tells Patch to meet him at the docks tonight, so that they can handle their unfinished business.

Later that night, Patch heads down to the docks alone to confront his old master, Ogun. Patch approaches a figure at the end of the dock but is surprised because it was Viper. Patch goes to greet her, when she turns with glowing red eyes and shoots Logan in the shoulder. Logan realizes that Viper has been possessed by Ogun and kicks her back. Ogun releases from Viper and enters Patch, but Ogun can’t handle the fragmented mind and the horrible memories of Logan and goes back into Viper. Patch tells Ogun if he thinks for one second he isn’t going to stab Viper, to get rid of him, he better guess again. Patch unleashes his claws and stabs Viper in the gut and lifts her up. Viper falls to the ground, Ogun leaves her body and with out another host to possess he dies. Viper lies on the ground and tells Patch that she isn’t going to honor their agreement, she isn’t going to let him divorce her. Patch tells her that he isn’t going to call a hospital then. Viper begs Patch to call the hospital and she will give him the divorce that he asked for.
