New York, Senator Drexel Walsh watches the news about the murders of his fellow partners. Trish Tilby from BNBC reports that the murders aren’t related. Senator Walsh shots the television in frustration, because his life is at risk. Walsh’s bodyguard, Smithers come running into the room and tells Walsh that he heard a gun shot. Walsh tells him it was him and that it took him 54 seconds to respond to the shots. Smithers tries to reassure Walsh that he is safe, the house id guards with snipers, guards, cameras, and perimeter detectors. Walsh pulls a disk out of his desk that holds the secrets to the project that they are getting killed for. Walsh picks up the phone to call the newspapers, when the phone line goes dead. Walsh checks the monitors of the compound and see that all his guards are dead. Smithers gets to Walsh’s door and begs for Walsh to let him in before he gets killed. Walsh says he can’t risk his life, Smithers starts to scream as the assassin cuts him to shreds. Suddenly, the assassin breaks through Walsh’s door. Walsh recognizes the assassin, its Logan. Walsh opens fire at Logan, but Logan plunges both set of claws into Walsh’s chest and continues to rip into his chest, then takes to disk and crushes it in his hand.

X-Mansion, Logan wakes up in bed from another bad dream. Logan decides to go for a drive to clear his mind. Suddenly Logan hears someone on the roof of his car and crashes it into a tree. Logan jumps out to find Beast, who had tagged along because he thought Logan could use someone to talk to. Logan tells him that he doesn’t want to talk about it. Beast decides to play on Logan’ term and uses a little tough love and demands that Logan tell him what’s going on. Logan laughs at Beast, who is acting tough. Beast punches Logan in the face, then slams Logan back into his car. Logan gets mad and slashes Beast in the side, Logan can’t believe he just hurt Beast, Logan helps Beast up, but Beast throws Logan over his shoulder. Beast laughs and goes to help Logan up, but Logan throws Beast to the floor, to get back at him. Logan decides to fill Beast in on his dreams at the Gunga dinner.

Elsewhere, The men that captured Sabretooth are re-bonding adamantium to his skeleton.

Gunga dinner, Beast uses an image inducer to hide the fact that he is mutant. Logan is shocked to see a news report come on the television that states the Senator Walsh has been killed and a picture of Logan comes on the screen as the suspect of the murder.
