Mister X private island, Logan wakes up at a breakfast table with Mister X, Major, Blok and T and A. Logan realizes that he is strapped to a chair and if he unleashes his claws they will stab into his sides. Mister X tells A to take the gag out of his mouth so they can talk business. A hops into Logan’s lap and takes the gag off, Logan bites her, so she pulls a gun and shoves it into his mouth. Mister X tells her to stop, but she threatens to shot Logan, Mister X stands and tells her to not make him repeat himself. A apologizes to Mister X, but Mister X tells them all to leave Logan and himself alone. Mister X explains that he heard whispers of a man known as Wolverine that was "the best there is" at what he did and know that Mister X beat him, he wants Wolverine to sign over the rights of that title. Wolverine tells him to stuff his legal papers. Mister X decides to tell Logan his life story.

In the past, Mister X was born with a silver spoon born in his mouth, he was given everything. One day he witnessed a woman who was hit by a car and instead of being sick to the sight, he was drawn in by the woman, who was dying. Mister X stared into her eyes as she was dying and felt a rush. Mister X grow into a teen and was displeased with life, women, possessions, trips, nothing could give him the same rush he got that day, not even doctors could cure him. One day he was washing his puppy, Sparky and decided to put him in the oven and watched while the puppy burned, and he got that rush again and realized what he had to do. Mister X's parents were appalled at what he did, so he killed them too. Then he killed bums, ex-girlfriends. Soon he moved up to people of power and began to train under the best masters of the world and eventually killed them. Mister X joined fighting tournaments and would win them all.

Present, Mister X tells Logan to accept his superiority and join him in a new murder avant-garde. Logan tells Mister X that he has heard a lot of stories but his takes the cake. Logan explains that everyday he fights to keep the animal inside, but in this case he will make an exception. Wolverine unleashes his claws, which cut into Logan’s gut, but also damages the locking device. Logan burst from the chair in a berserker rage.

Elsewhere, Senator Walsh sits at his desk and calls out to God, when he sees the news that Peter, John and Michael has been murdered. Walsh's bodyguard, Bryars ask if he is all right, Walsh tells him that he’s fine, but thinks he might be next in the murders.

Mister X's private island, Logan slashes Mister X across his chest, but Mister X slams Logan down, Logan throws Mister X across the room. Mister X runs off just before Logan slashes him. Mister X is so pleased that he is finally getting a real challenge and enters his trophy room. Logan enter the room to find Mister X waiting with a machine gun, continues to attack through the bullets. mister X grabs a spear and stabs Logan in the gut, then grabs a flamethrower and ignites Logan in fire, Logan slashes Mister X across his back. Mister X grabs a sword, but Logan cuts it to pieces, kicks Mister x through some double doors and is about to stab his claws into Mister X head, but Blok grabs Logan’s hand and punches Logan in the head.

Middle of the ocean, Logan wakes up and finds a not on his chest from Mister X. The note says that Logan has given Mister X the best session of his life and Blok was punished for interfering with the session. It says for Logan to not look for him, but when Mister X recovers from his injuries and is ready he will contact Logan.

Later in the blackbird, after picking up Logan, Nightcrawler and Logan fly to the island that Mister X was at, but the house is gone. Logan vows that the next time they meet it will be to the death.
