The Wind From the East,

Lower Eastside Manhattan, logan enters his apartment and encounters the Mime. Logan notices that the Mime is juggeling the cube that Zoe Culloden gave him for safe keeping. Logan unleashes his claws and swings at the Mime, but the Mime does abeck flip out of the way, dropping the cub in the process. The Mime tells logan that he still wildly swings when he is agitated, but Logan notices the Cube rolling across the floor, which triggers a memory of then he saw the cube before.

A Long Time ago in Shanghai, while singing and drinking on the street Logan recalls seeing an old man who dropped the relic cube on the street and was telling his aprentance, a young boy about how its secrets were too dangerous to fall into the wrong hands. Desparately trying to get the cube while being pursued by Japanese Imperial soldiers, the old man is hit by the butt of the rifle that the sergeant of the soldiers was carrying. A young boy hits the sergeant with a wooden stick, angering him, and the seargeant threatens to kill him. Logan interfers and tells the sergeant to leave the kid alone. The sergeant was about to swing the butt of the rifle onto Logan's head, until Logan grabs his rifle and hits the sergeant with it. The sergeant was about to shoot Logan, but the captain of the Japanese imperial amy kills the sergeant with his sword for dishonoring his uniform with his brutality. The captain is about to kill the other soldier who was with the sergent until Logan stopped him. Surprised at Logan's fearless defiance, the captain advises Logan to study martial arts through Ogun, who would help fill in the voids in Logan's life. Logan doesn't give any importance to what the captain said and checks to see if the old man and young boy was ok, then proceedes to drink and sing.

In the present, Logan blocks a knife by grabing the Mime's hand. The Mime tries to get free by flipping away, but breaks his wrist in the process. Logan is suprised because the Mime shows no signs of pain, even though his hand is flopping around from the broken erist. The Mime puts the knife in the other hand and attacks Logan.

Down on the streets below, Storm and Jean decides to pay a visit to Logan at his new apartment. They encounter Helen who was just about to pay a visit to Logan also. Jean and Storm ask if she was going into the same building, but Helen feeling out classed pretends that she wasn't going to Logan's apartment and leaves down the street. Jean senses troble inside Logan's apartment, Storm blows the door down, Jean mentally gets the Mime to drop the knife, Strom pushes the Mime with a gust of wind into the wall. Oguns spirit leaves the Mimes body and enters Jean's. The mime runs in fear realizing that his wrist is broken and he doesn't know where he is. Jean possessed by Ogun picks up the knife, but Strom blows Jean agaist the wall. Jean throws the knife at storm, but Logan blocks it with his body. The spirit of Ogun releases from Jean and leaves the apartment. Logan decides to chase Ogun's sprit. The spirit of Ogun enters Helen. Helen pushes over Clive and Kristen who were walking down the street, they notice that something is wrong with Helen.

At Fire Lake, Massachusetts, Daimon Hellstorm sees in his gem that the aceint cube has been found and it must be kept safe.
