At the X-mansion in Salem Center New York, Logan returns from his trip to Canada and Japan. The mansion was still under construction from the damage that Onslaught caused. Logan meets up with Bishop, Cyclops, Beast, Jean Grey, Strom and Cannonball setting up a going-away party for Iceman. Logan goes upstairs to see Iceman packing away this things, Logan tells Iceman that even though they never got the chance to become good friends, he always respected Iceman. Logan goes back down stairs, Jean gives Logan a package that arrived from Zoe Colluden, Logan opens it and a holographic image of Zoe Culloden tells Logan that the cube in the box is very important and to keep it safe.

Later, Cyclops, Cannonball, Iceman, Beast, and Logan head on over to Harry's Hideaway to hang out. Logan feels out of place and decides to head on over to the Auger Inn, their he remembers his old pals from the Princess Bar. The bar tender kicks Logan out because its 4am in the morning and Logan keeps drinking. Logan returns to the X-Mansion and enters Xavier’s office, Logan sees that it is empty because Professor X turned himself in to the US government because what he did as Onslaught. Logan sits in his office till morning. Logan heads to the danger room.

Danger room, Wolverine starts a simulation to train with, but something goes wrong, the environment is not what Wolverine expected. Suddenly a figure steps out of the shadows, a knight in a suit of red armor with a skull head, carrying a long energy sword, tells Wolverine that he is in charge. Wolverine quickly attacks and the knight, tearing his mask in two. The knight tells Wolverine to submit to him now because in the end he will have him anyway. Wolverine tries to attack, but the body of Mariko comes out of the ground and grabs onto Wolverine. The knight tells Wolverine that he could bring Mariko back from the dead if he would follow him. Wolverine tells him that he will not, stabs the knight in the hand with his claws, grabs the knights sword and thrusts it into the knights chest. The knight disappears into the shadows. Stick shows up out of nowhere and demands the body of Mariko to lie quiet and sleep for eternity. Stick tells Wolverine that the knight wants Wolverine to leave the path again. Wolverine asks who the knight was. Stick tells Wolverine that it is someone from his past and then disappears.

Later, Logan takes Cannonball to a Harley shop and buys a brand new Harley and tells Cannonball to take his new Harley and break it in for him, because he was going to move out of the X-Mansion for awhile. Then Logan rides off down the street on his old Harley.
