On his birthday, Patch stops a fight in a bar. When he leaves the bar some thugs stab a man and grab a woman. Patch saves a woman from getting rapped by the thugs.

Seeing this, Patch remembers back when he fought Sabretooth before he was trained in fighting and before he had adamantium bones, when he was calles Logan. Sabretooth kills Silver Fox on his birthday, so Logan tries to kill Sabretooth, but finds out the hard way that Sabretooth was faster and stronger. Beaten bad Logan scales a mountain to get away.

Patch takes the stabbed man and the woman to Madame Joy's, a prostitute house. Joy tells Patch to leave while they help the couple. Patch meets Jessica Drew and Lindsey McCabe, they show him there apartment near by. Patch tells him that the Prince set them up with the apartment and the office, because he needs someone neutral to be his eyes and ears, to watch Tyger and General Coy. Patch leaves them to think about that.

While he thinks back in his past. Logan climbs to the top, to find Sabretooth, Logan attacks, they fight back and forth. Sabretooth is about to kill Logan when Logan throws them both of a cliff. Sabretooth gets up, thinking Logan is dead, he leaves saying that there is no other ending for them, given WHO they are.

Patch stops by hightown Police Headquarters, Police Chief Tai tells Patch that the man he asked about around town is dead. Patch walks down to the docks, he hears someone following him. Patch hides and grabs his stalker, Jessica Drew. Jessica explains that she is worried about him. The thugs from the bar try to kill Patch by shooting him, blowing him up and torching him with a flame thrower. Patch on fire falls into the water. Jessica help Patch get out of the water. They don't know where the thugs went, but Patch follows the scent of the thugs back to the Princess Bar. Patch jumps throw the window and relizes that the two thugs are dead already with a note attached "Nobody Kills you but ME...especially today!"
