Wolverine Vol.1 #125-129,131,125-129,131,139,167-169Viper allied herself with the Elder god Chithon, who greatly slowed her aging, then became a mercenary and worked with an adventurer named Seraph in Madripoor. Seraph died on a mission to save Wolverine and made Wolverine swear an oath of loyalty to Viper. Viper later became head of Hydra. Then seeked the throne of Madripoor and made Wolverine honor his oath by marring her so that she could reign over Madripoor. Viper has rendered herself immune from most toxins via controlled exposure. Viper spreads her pioson with hollowed fands, lipstick and with throwing darts.
